Divyanka Tripathi Brings 5-Month-Old Twins to Sets, Says It Is Difficult to Leave Them Even for Minutes

Television actress Divyanka Tripathi has opened up about the challenges of returning to work after motherhood, revealing that she brings her five-month-old twin sons to the sets of the reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga because she finds it difficult to leave them alone even for a few minutes.

In an exclusive conversation, Divyanka spoke about balancing her professional commitments with caring for her twin boys, whom she welcomed with husband Vivek Dahiya in May this year. She also challenged the idea of an effortless post-pregnancy “bounce back”, emphasising that every woman experiences motherhood and returning to work differently.

The actress explained that caring for her babies is relatively manageable at their current stage, as much of their time is spent sleeping and feeding. However, their growing mobility has already begun to bring new challenges.

“Handling babies is actually easier at this stage because they sleep and feed. But I know the crawling stage will come. They have already started pushing themselves around slowly. For me, it is also difficult to leave them alone even for two to four minutes. So, I have to take them along to the set. It is not easy. None of it is easy,” she said.

Addressing the surprise some people have expressed over her early return to work, Divyanka said women should not be expected to recover and resume their routines immediately after childbirth.

“I have always said this in the past, women don’t simply ‘bounce back’. There is nothing like that,” she said, describing the physical discomfort and mental fog that can accompany the transition while professional responsibilities continue.

The actress also urged people not to compare one woman’s journey with another’s, stressing that returning to work should happen at an individual’s own pace.

“I am saying this so that nobody compares one woman with another and says, ‘Oh, Divyanka has done it.’ No, it is difficult for everyone. Everyone returns to work at their own pace. So, just go at your own pace, and I am following mine too,” she said.

Divyanka credited her husband and family for helping her navigate the demanding phase. She said Vivek’s support gives her strength, while her family encourages her to believe that she can manage both motherhood and work. She also noted that continuing to work has a positive effect on her mental well-being.

Divyanka and Vivek welcomed their twin boys on May 26, 2026, nearly a decade after getting married on July 8, 2016.
