A female inspector posted in Prayagraj has accused her retired father-in-law (inspector) resident of Para of rape and her property dealer husband of firing. The female inspector has filed a case in Para police station accusing other in-laws of harassment.
The victim, along with farmer union leaders, staged a protest at the police station for two hours on Thursday to register the case. On the complaint of the victim and her in-laws, the police have registered a case against both the parties. Para police has written a letter for departmental action in the matter of protesting in the police station against the female inspector. The lady inspector is being investigated by Prayagraj police officers for indiscipline.
A resident of Para, the woman is posted in Prayagraj on the post of Inspector in the Police Department. The woman had a love marriage with a property dealer resident of Para for one year. After marriage, the woman was selected for the post of Inspector in the police department. The woman alleges that after marriage, her in-laws started harassing her by making caste based remarks. When she complained to her husband, she also did not say anything. He was insulted even for doing a job. The woman alleges that her father-in-law raped her and then tried to kill her by giving her rat poison and locking her in a room. Somehow the woman told the matter to her father, after which the father reached home and admitted her to the hospital for treatment. When the father went to complain to his in-laws, the husband and father-in-law attacked him and chased him away at gunpoint.
Police did not listen to the complaint for four days
The woman alleges that even after complaining to the police four days ago, the police did not take any action. On Thursday, the victim along with her family members and farmers union workers created a ruckus at Para police station. The female inspector became unconscious during the demonstration. Inspector Suresh Singh said that there is a family dispute between both the parties. On the complaint of the female inspector, a case of rape has been registered against the father-in-law and harassment against the husband, mother-in-law and son-in-law. At the same time, the husband of the female inspector has filed a case accusing his wife of harassing him with the intention of taking over the house and along with his family members, attempting to kill her with a weapon. A case has been registered on the complaint of both the parties and investigation is being done.
