Police have busted a prostitution racket in a unisex salon and massage parlor located in front of Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday, Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) and Mahila Thana police took joint action and detained nine women and seven men from the salon. This raid was conducted on the complaint of a bank employee. In which he had given information about black mailing.
SSP Dr. Vipin Tada had received a complaint that a bank employee had gone to a massage parlor. Where his video was made with a secret camera and three lakh rupees were recovered from him by blackmailing him. Apart from this, five lakh rupees more were being demanded from him. The accused had threatened to make the video viral. On the basis of the complaint, the SSP formed a team under the leadership of CO Civil Line and gave instructions for action.
Employee and owner arrested
Police have arrested the parlor operator, Ahana Khan, resident of Sardhana, Khalid (Kanshiram Colony), Surendra and Saurabh (Rohta Road), Sameer (Brahmapuri), Hayat and Shadab (Village Ajrada) and Ubaiz (Phalavada). Objectionable material and CCTV footage have been seized from the parlor. During interrogation, it was revealed that girls from Delhi and Noida were brought here and subjected to prostitution. However, in the preliminary investigation conducted so far, it has been found that all the local people were working here. The female owner of the salon, Saina, is absconding.
Used to collect lakhs by blackmailing
Police investigation revealed that this parlor was earning more than Rs 6 lakh every month. Anti Human Trafficking Unit police station in-charge Akhilesh Gaur said that desired amount was being collected from the customers in the parlor. 5000 from some and 10000 from some, from which it can be estimated that the monthly income of these people is in lakhs. On the pretext of massage, customers are lured and desired amount is collected from them in the name of massage. Apart from this, huge amounts of money were also being extorted by blackmailing the customers.
Keep an eye on other spa centers also
Police are also keeping an eye on other massage parlors in Meerut city. Complaints of illegal activities have been received in many spa centers located in Shastri Nagar, Abulen and Delhi Road. In these centers too, cases of blackmailing people through secret cameras are coming to light. SP City Ayush Vikram Singh said that information about a massage parlor was received and a joint team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit and Mahila Thana Police conducted a raid. Women and men were found in objectionable condition and a case has been registered against them.
