Reports surfaced in the media that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Dilip Joshi, known for essaying Jethalal in the long-running comedy show, had a “serious” fight with the producer, Asit Modi on set.
It was hinted that the friction between them had been ongoing for a long time and in a heated moment, Dilip grabbed Asit by his collar. Many speculated that this would lead to either Dilip quitting the show or his expulsion. Now, the popular TV actor has broken his silence on the matter.

“I just want to clear the air about all these rumors going around. There have been some stories in the media about me and Asit Bhai that are completely false, and it really saddens me to see such things being said. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a show that means so much to me and millions of fans, and when people spread baseless rumors, it hurts not only us but also our loyal viewers,” the statement read.

And now, it feels like every few weeks, there’s another new story trying to defame Asit Bhai and the show in some way. I don’t know who is behind spreading these stories, but I want to say this clearly: I’m here, I’m working every day with the same love and passion for the show, and I’m not going anywhere. I’ve been a part of this wonderful journey for so long, and I will continue to be a part of it.”
What unfolded on TMKOC set?
According to a report, the alleged fight between Asit Modi and Dilip Joshi unfolded in August when Kush Shah, who played Goli on the comedy show, was supposed to be on set for the last day. However, Dilip had a thing to discuss with Asit. The latter reportedly ignored him and went to meet Kush instead. This angered Dilip and he even grabbed Asit’s collar in a heated moment.
