Police told Sarla’s death suicide

What is the whole matter
Sarla Mishra died on 14 February 1997 under suspicious circumstances. She was found in a severely burnt state at her residence in Bhopal and later died. In this case, his brothers, Anand Mishra and Anurag Mishra have accused former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and his brother Laxman Singh of joining Sarla’s murder and suppressing the case. At that time there was a Congress government in Madhya Pradesh and Digvijay Singh was the Chief Minister.
Family demanded an inquiry from CBI
In the preliminary investigation, the police called it a suicide, but Sarla Mishra’s family refused to accept the conclusion and demanded an inquiry from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). They allege that the police did not investigate the case properly and there were many shortcomings. In 2015, the case again caught fire when Sarla Mishra’s brothers staged a sit -in demand for CBI inquiry and met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Some BJP leaders also demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
