Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is very angry. The reason for his displeasure is the schedule of IPL 2025 auction due to which he will have to leave Perth. Ricky Ponting expressed his displeasure over this in an interview and also in a few gestures he blamed BCCI for this. Actually, Perth Test is starting from 22nd November and after 2 days i.e. on 24th and 25th November, there is also the mega auction of IPL 2025. Now because Ricky Ponting is the head coach of Punjab Kings, he will have to leave the Perth Test and go to Jeddah, where this auction will be held this time. That’s why Ricky Ponting is angry with the schedule of IPL auction.
Ponting angry with IPL auction
Ricky Ponting said in an interview to Asian Age, ‘This is a very bad situation for me and Justin Langer. We felt that there would be some time between the Perth Test and the IPL auction but now it is not so. There are many players in Perth whose names will be taken in the IPL auction and in such a situation there will be different pressure on them too. I don’t know why BCCI chose this date, maybe the match has something to do with it.
When will Ponting go out of Perth?
Ricky Ponting told that he will be able to do commentary only on the first day of Perth Test. After this he will go to Jeddah. After this I will see when I will come back. Hopefully I can be back by the last day. If this does not happen then the meeting will take place in Adelaide only. Let us tell you that Ricky Ponting is the commentator of Channel 7 in the Border-Gavaskar series. Apart from him, Justin Langer is also a part of his commentary team. Langer is the head coach of Lucknow Supergiants. Obviously leaving the Perth Test midway will affect the pockets of both Ponting and Langer. But both these legends should also see that they earn a good amount of money from IPL also. In such a situation, it is difficult to have laddu in both the hands.
