At the event, when Akshay Kumar was asked why the term ‘flop actor’ was used for him in the film, he said that it should be seen in the context of the story and character of the film and not by linking it to his real life. Akshay said that such dialogues in films are not meant to taunt anyone. When you watch a movie, you understand things according to its characters and story. I know the audience is intelligent. Therefore there is no need to take it so seriously.
What is the story of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’?
The more than four-minute long trailer offers a fun mix of comedy, action and film-within-a-film. This time the ‘Welcome’ franchise has moved out of the cities and into the exciting environment of the jungle, where a group of artists gets into big trouble due to misunderstandings.
In the film, Akshay Kumar is playing the role of a struggling actor, who is trying to get his career back on track after continuous flop films. His life seems to change when he gets a new film with a successful actress. Jacqueline Fernandez is playing the character of this actress.
Film shooting became a real adventure
The big twist in the story comes when the entire team of the film reaches a village near the border. The villagers consider the artists to be real soldiers and put the responsibility of protecting them from a dangerous gang on their shoulders. This gang is led by Jackie Shroff’s character. After this, many comical situations arise, where Akshay’s character repeatedly explains to people that he is not a real-life hero but just an actor.

When he was asked at the trailer launch event whether he ever thought of leaving work, he replied in a funny manner. Akshay Kumar said that when he wakes up at 4 in the morning, for a few seconds he feels that he should take rest, but then he immediately remembers that he has to go to the shoot and 300 people are waiting for him. He said that this thinking comes only for 5 seconds and then ends. He said that he will never retire. They are against this thinking.
