Actor Dhanush shared a heartwarming family picture with his mother and sisters on social media, describing the three women as his “blessings”.
The Tere Ishq Mein actor posted the photograph on Instagram on Sunday, showing his mother and sisters seated together while Dhanush sat on the floor near his mother’s feet. The family smiled for the camera in the candid moment.
Sharing the picture, Dhanush captioned it, “My blessings,” accompanied by red and white heart emojis.
The post comes amid growing interest in Dhanush’s journey in the film industry. His father, filmmaker and actor Kasthuri Raja, had earlier revealed that Dhanush did not initially want to pursue acting.
Speaking at the pre-release event of Love Oh Love, which stars his grandson Pavish, Kasthuri Raja recalled that Dhanush had repeatedly asked to leave the film industry during his early years.
He said that among the directors in the family, Dhanush’s elder brother Selvaraghavan was the only one who entered cinema willingly. According to Kasthuri Raja, Dhanush disliked the profession initially and continued to express his desire to leave even after completing five or six films.
Recalling the making of Thulluvadho Ilamai, he said Dhanush would plead with him to let him leave and would even cry before shots.
Dhanush has since established himself as one of the prominent and commercially successful stars of South Indian cinema.
The actor is currently working on Rajkumar Periasamy’s action entertainer Om, being produced under the Wunderbar Films banner. Malayalam superstar Mammootty is also set to play a key role in the film.
Dhanush also has Kalam: The Missile Man of India, a biopic on former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, and a biopic on legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja in the pipeline.
