Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak reached Jhansi Medical College, said – the culprits will not be spared.

The fire that took place on Friday night at Maharani Lakshmibai Medical College in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh took the lives of 10 newborns. The Yogi government is completely on alert mode regarding this incident. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has reached Jhansi Medical College. Here he met the families of newborn babies and inquired about the condition of the injured.

During this, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that the death of newborn babies is very unfortunate. We, along with family members, are trying to identify the bodies of the newborn babies. First of all the investigation will be done at the administrative level. The police administration will conduct the second investigation. In which the fire department team will also be included. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to investigate the cause of the fire.

Strict action will be taken against the culprits

The Deputy CM said that if any irregularities are found, strict action will be taken against those responsible and no one will be spared. He said that a fire safety audit was conducted in February and a mock drill was also conducted in June. Then, how and why this incident happened can be said only after the investigation report comes. Deputy CM said that the bodies of 7 newborns have been identified, 3 have not been identified yet. Financial assistance will be provided to the families of newborn babies.
