Many questions have arisen after the shooting death of Indian-origin pizza delivery boy Anshul Kuncha in America. According to the report, the house where the delivery was made was vacant. This raises the question whether the delivery person was called there under some plan? Who was the person who ordered it?
North Philadelphia Shooting: A painful incident has come to light in North Philadelphia, America. Anshul Kuncha, a 28-year-old Indian-origin youth who had gone to deliver pizza inside a housing society here, was shot dead. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Friday at the Ramon Rosen Homes housing complex on Edgeley Street.
Anshul Kuncha Murder Case: Shot after completing delivery
According to the police, Anshul Kuncha had successfully completed the delivery of the pizza. After this he was shot in the head. The address where the pizza was delivered later turned out to be a vacant house. However, investigators have got information about the phone number from which the pizza order was placed and now the police is carrying forward the investigation on the basis of this clue.
Police collected important evidence from the spot
Philadelphia Police Department Chief Inspector Scott Small said that when officers reached the spot, Anshul was lying unconscious on the ground. He was shot in the head and had lost a lot of blood. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead. Scott Small said that with the help of the pizza box found on the spot, the police identified the pizza shop where Anshul used to work. It was later confirmed that he was doing delivery work for ‘Peetz Pizza’.
Crime Scene Investigation: 3 cartridges and victim’s car recovered
During investigation, police found three empty cartridges from the spot. These cartridges were just a few inches away from the spot where Anshul’s body was found. Police believe that the attackers were in a position to fire from very close range. Anshul’s car was also recovered near the incident spot. The pizza warmer was still inside the vehicle, making it clear that it was a target during a delivery.
Pizza boxes and bags found in empty apartment
Officers also searched the vacant apartment where the delivery was made. Three pizza boxes and a bag were found there, which were untouched. Due to this, the police suspect that Anshul was attacked while coming out after delivering the goods.
Two suspects seen in CCTV footage
Some scenes related to the incident have been recorded in the surveillance cameras of the Philadelphia Housing Authority. Although the firing incident could not be captured on camera, two suspicious men in black clothes were seen chasing Anshul in the footage. According to police, one of the two men also had a black backpack. At present no one has been arrested, but the investigation team has found important clues.
Phone number became the biggest clue of investigation
Police say that they have the phone number from which the pizza was ordered. The investigating agencies are now trying to reach the accused with the help of this number. Officials hope that this clue can play an important role in solving the case.
