Delhi Weather: Even after the arrival of the monsoon in the region, Delhi and the adjoining National Capital Region (NCR) are witnessing hot and humid weather.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the capital city is expected to witness a generally cloudy sky, chances of light rain and thunderstorms are also predicted. A yellow alert has been issued for today, warning of light rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds. Delhi recently recorded its warmest July night in five years.
Delhi Weather
The weather department has forecast that the daytime temperature is expected to hover between 36 degrees Celsius – 38 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to settle between 28 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
Southwesterly winds of 20-25 kmph are likely during the morning after that the winds will be eased 10-15 kmph.
Yellow Alert For Thunderstorms
The weather department has predicted very light to light showers today accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning at isolated parts. The department has not forecast widespread rain in the region yet. However, isolated rain may bring temporary relief from the prevailing heat and humidity.

Warmest July Night In Five Years
Rain forecast comes a day after the capital city recorded its warmest July night in five years. The nighttime temperature touched 31 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung, four degrees above normal. On Friday, the daytime temperature soared 38.8 degrees Celsius, 3.6 degrees above normal.

According to IMD, brief spells of rain and speedy winds could lead to slippery roads. This can lead to minor traffic disruptions in some areas. The weather department has advised people to carry umbrellas when traveling.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the intensity of the rain is likely to increase next week. A warning has been issued for heavy rain and gusty winds in some districts of the state.
Maharashtra Weather: Heavy Rains In Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra
Although the rains have taken a break in various parts of the state, light rains bring pleasant weather in Konkan, Ghats and some parts of Madhya Maharashtra. The weather department has forecast that there is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds in several districts of Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra today. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the concerned districts.
