On May 7, 2026, the weather of Delhi will show intense heat. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 37°C and minimum 22°C, which is slightly above normal. The sky will be partly cloudy, but humidity and hot winds may make the day uncomfortable. Heatwave like situation is not completely declared, but heat pressure will be clearly felt during the day. People will have to be cautious while going out in the sun, as the temperature has started rising gradually.
According to IMD, today there will be partly cloudy sky and light activity with thunderstorms may be seen in some areas. Although chances of rain are very less, there may be incidents of lightning. This will not provide much relief in temperature. It will be humid during the day (humidity up to 60%) and will drop slightly (45%) by evening. This change will only give temporary relief, the trend of heat will continue.
In view of the increasing heat in Delhi, people need to take special precautions. Avoid going out between 12 noon and 4 pm. Wear light, cotton clothes and keep the body hydrated. To avoid heat stroke, consume water, lemonade and ORS. Take special care of children and the elderly. Direct exposure to sunlight can cause problems like headache, dizziness and fatigue.
Although there is no official heatwave warning on May 7, the temperature trend is worrying. Starting with 37°C, the mercury may reach 39°C in the coming days. This indicates that Delhi is gradually moving towards heatwave conditions. Strong sunlight during the day and heat even at night can trouble people. The combination of humidity and temperature in the air is making it more uncomfortable.
According to IMD, between May 8 and 10, the temperature can reach 38°C to 39°C, while the minimum temperature will also go up to 26-27°C. This shows that the nights will also become warmer. There is no sign of relief on 11th and 12th May also, the temperature will remain between 37-38°C. The continuously increasing heat and clear sky can create heatwave like conditions for the people of Delhi. Caution will become more necessary in the coming days.
