Delhi Pollution Today: How will Delhi’s pollution end? The minister gave the solution

These days, people in some areas of UP and Haryana including the capital Delhi are facing the brunt of pollution (Delhi-NCR Pollution). There is no sign of pollution decreasing for the last seven days. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the AQI level was above 500 in Delhi-NCR. However, on Thursday, there has been a slight improvement in the AQI level. But pollution is still high. On this, Delhi government has planned to make artificial rain.

The state government has contacted the Center for this. Delhi Government’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai has sent a letter to Union Forest and Environment Minister Bhupendra Singh. It is written in this letter – At present, there is a thick blanket of smog in the entire North India including Delhi-NCR. People are suffocating due to this. To remove it, artificial rain will have to be caused. For this the Center will have to take necessary steps.

Gopal Rai said- Be it Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan or any other state, today the entire North India is facing the brunt of pollution. A thick blanket of smog is spread over the sky. The polluted particles present in the environment are putting a heavy burden on the breathing of the elderly and children. Group 4 restrictions have been implemented in Delhi-NCR. After discussion with experts, it has come to light that now the time has come to make artificial rain to break the blanket of smog. Therefore, for the fourth time again a letter has been written to Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav.

It was further written in the letter – A meeting should be called between Delhi Government and experts from IIT Kanpur who advise on artificial rain. Senior officials of the Union Home Ministry, Defense Ministry, Civil Aviation Directorate and other related departments were also present in it.

What did Rai say on work from home?

On the question of implementing odd-even in Delhi and taking steps like work from home, Gopal Rai said that we are keeping an eye on all the aspects and taking the opinion of experts. We will take whatever necessary steps are required. We are fully assessing the situation and are ready to take all necessary steps.

Where is AQI level in the most serious category?

On the other hand, Mahesh Palawat, Vice President of Meteorology and Climate Change at Skymet Weather, said that unless the wind speed increases, the AQI is unlikely to improve. He said wind and rain could probably help reduce pollution levels in the next two to three days. Areas like Alipur, Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, Bawana, Dwarka Sector 8, Ihbas, Dilshad Garden, Jahangirpuri, Major Dhyanchand Stadium, Mandir Marg, Mundka, Najafgarh, Narela, Nehru Nagar, Patparganj, Punjabi Bagh, Rohini, Siri Fort and Wazirpur.
