Delhi Assembly session will start after Holi, BJP government will present its first budget on March 25

The budget session of Delhi’s newly formed assembly is going to start from 24 March. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has given his approval for this 5 -day budget session. The next day after the budget session starts, the new government of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Delhi will present its first budget.

A decade -old rule of the Aam Aadmi Party ended in the assembly elections held in Delhi last month, while the BJP returned to power after a long wait of 27 years. Now the BJP government will present its first budget during the five -day budget session of the assembly on 25 March. On the first day of the budget session, there will be a address of the Lieutenant Governor on 24 March.

In the bulletin issued by the Delhi Assembly Secretariat, it has been said that the opening of the five -day session will start from March 24. While the budget will be presented on 25 March. The next day after the budget is presented, it will be discussed on 26 March. Then on March 27, the budget will be passed in the House.

The budget will be presented by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, because the finance department is also with him. On the last day of the budget session in the Assembly of the Union Territory, private members have been reserved for the bills and proposals.

Question hour every day apart from 25 March

The assembly will sit every day at 11 am during the budget session held in Delhi. According to the bulletin issued by the Secretariat, the session of the session can also be increased on the basis of the imperative of functioning in the House.

According to the Bulletin, there will be a session of Question Hour every day except March 25 in the assembly as the budget will be presented on this day. Notices of questions for the second session of the newly formed eighth Delhi Legislative Assembly will be obtained with immediate effect.

During the session, an MLA can give notice of only 5 questions for a day. Every question should be mainly related to a department and the questions seeking information on long questions or different topics will be edited according to the rules. Also, according to the instructions of the speaker, those MLAs who want to raise the case under Rules 280, they can give notice to the working day before the date of the meeting till 5 pm, the day it is proposed to raise the matter.
