Delhi Air Pollution: Do these 5 things, the ‘poisonous’ air of Delhi will become completely pure; Expert told the method

Pollution today has become a serious challenge not only for the environment but also for human health and future generations. The biggest reason for this is our lifestyle, in which we are being careless towards natural resources. During the conversation, Dr. Lokesh Bhiwani, environmentalist and founder of Stand with Nature, said that if we remember just 10 years ago, was there ever a need to cancel school holidays due to pollution?

This means that man is shooting himself in the foot very fast. If this is not stopped very soon then the end of human civilization is certain! Dr. Lokesh Bhiwani, while talking about the causes of pollution, what measures can be taken to stop it and prevent it, said that collective efforts are needed to control pollution.

planting trees and increasing greenery

Dr. Lokesh Bhiwani says that in the name of expanding cities, old trees are being cut at a rapid pace. Governments are directly involved in this. Thousands of saplings are planted in their place. Which will take 10 years to replace that big tree. This is a very contradictory work.

Waste Management and Awareness

According to Dr. Lokesh, a comprehensive awareness campaign should be conducted for proper disposal and recycling of waste. Mountains of garbage welcome us in Delhi and this is our capital. Dangerous gases continuously come out there and fires keep happening.

Emphasis on public transport and car-pooling

Dr. Lokesh said that public transport should be promoted by limiting excessive use of private vehicles. When private vehicles will reduce, pollution will also reduce. Through car pooling, many people can travel together in one vehicle, which will reduce the number of private vehicles and will help in reducing pollution. Emphasizing on local level efforts, Dr. Lokesh said that starting small level community initiatives in villages and cities, such as cleaning of ponds and rain water conservation.

Ban on burning of stubble, make fertilizer from crop residues

Dr. Lokesh said that stubble burning also increases air pollution. After the production and harvesting of the crop, farmers burn the parts of the crop that are left in the fields i.e. the stubble. Burning of stubble releases harmful gases like carbon dioxide and methane, which have adverse effects on health. The smoke coming out of the stubble causes breathing problems. There should be strict restrictions on burning of stubble. Farmers should increase their awareness about the harm caused to the environment by burning more stubble.

Smoke coming from factories increases pollution

Dr. Lokesh believes that as the needs of people are increasing, the environment is also being damaged in the name of modernity. Chemical smoke emanating from industries increases the risk of air pollution by mixing in the air. The ozone layer is also being damaged due to greenhouse gases. Instead of burning dry leaves, they should be used as compost.

Main causes of pollution

Dr. Lokesh Bhiwani believes that the biggest reason for air pollution is the rapid cutting of trees. Smoke emitted from vehicles and dust and waste from construction works are not disposed of properly. The solution to these problems can be possible only through the initiative of both community participation and administrative cooperation. If we all do not take action together now, tomorrow will be even more difficult for us. The day is not far when oxygen will also be sold in shops like water. We will all be able to pack our tanks and move around. This is the time to be aware and save our environment.

In view of the serious conditions arising out of pollution, the Delhi government is taking action. Delhi Government’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai says that there is a need for artificial rain in Delhi, for which a demand is being made from the Central Government. Schools up to class 12th have been closed. Online classes are going on. Grape-4 restrictions have been implemented against the increasing pollution in Delhi.
