However, there has been a slight improvement in AQI compared to a day earlier. If we talk about Saturday, AQI in Delhi was 255 and it reached 356 on Sunday. That means straight 101 marks more.

Diwali festival is near. As Diwali approaches, the air of the capital Delhi has started getting worse. Pollution has started increasing here again. According to the report of the Central Pollution Control Board, while the AQI of the capital was recorded at 356 on Sunday, it was recorded at 327 on Monday. It was 29 points less on Monday compared to Sunday. This was a matter of some relief.

Pollution increasing in Delhi-NCR

Many types of campaigns are being run to reduce pollution in Delhi. From time to time, water is being sprayed in areas that have become pollution hotspots. Efforts are being made to know about the factors causing pollution by monitoring the areas with high pollution through drones, so that solutions can be found to reduce it. Air pollution is increasing rapidly in NCR including Delhi.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) says that the currently implemented GRAP-II should be strictly implemented to reduce air pollution in Delhi-NCR. The rules covered under this should be strictly followed. If people are negligent in doing so then action should be taken. As per the order of the Supreme Court, the states falling under Delhi-NCR should ensure washing and cleaning of roads, maximum use of anti-smog machines and a complete ban on firecrackers.

  1. State governments should take action to ban burning of paddy straw. Special monitoring should be maintained regarding burning of stubble.
  2. Pollution of vehicles plying on the roads of Delhi-NCR should be investigated. Vehicles that cause pollution should be challaned.
  3. Inter-city buses coming to Delhi-NCR from Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir should also be checked.
  4. Since Diwali is near. In such a situation, a ban should be imposed on the manufacture, storage, sale and use of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas.
  5. The cleanliness of roads and water sprinkling in Delhi-NCR should be checked from time to time. Anti smog machine should also be used.

Marshall will work to reduce pollution

The Delhi government will deploy 10,000 civil defense volunteers, who were dismissed from service last year, to help implement measures related to reducing pollution. Chief Minister Atishi gave this information on Monday. These civil defense volunteers were dismissed in November last year when they were working as bus marshals.
