New Delhi: A case has been registered at the CCB Cyber Crime Police Station against more than 29 social media accounts in the deepfake obscene video case of actress Rukmini Vasanth, who has worked in films of many languages. The actress has said in her complaint that legal action should be taken against those who tarnish her image by spreading fake videos. Based on this complaint, the police have registered an FIR against a total of 29 social media account holders including 9 Instagram, 14 ‘X’ (earlier Twitter) and 6 Facebook accounts. Now the cyber police has started searching for the accused who spread fake videos.

Recently, a video went viral on social media, in which actress Rukmini was shown doing a photoshoot in a swimsuit (bikini). Later Rukmini had clarified that this video is fake and a deepfake video has been made from her photo using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
