According to the information, this incident took place in Karghat Kamathi village of Pandhurna district. Vacchla Bai Dhurve, a pregnant woman living here, was given a packet of laddus under the nutrition program through the Anganwadi centre. When the family members reached home and opened the packet, they were shocked. He reportedly saw a dead baby snake among the laddus. Seeing this the family got scared and immediately informed the Anganwadi staff and administration.
The administration came into action as soon as the information was received
After receiving the complaint, the team of Women and Child Development Department, Police and Revenue Department reached the village. Officials reached the spot, examined the packet and took it into their custody. Besides, the sample of food items has also been kept safe, so that it can be tested in the lab. The officials have prepared Panchnama on the spot and started further action.
5 member committee formed for investigation
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the district administration has ordered an investigation. The Collector said that a 5-member investigation committee has been formed to know the truth of the entire matter. Apart from this, the food sample has been sent to the State Food Testing Center located in Bhopal. Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the lab report and investigation committee report.
