David Warner has accepted the charge of drink driving in April this year. David Warner’s lawyer Bobby Hill gave information about this in the court. On April 5 this year, David Warner was accused of drunk driving. He was found drunk in a roadside test while driving in Sydney. After that, the second test was done at the police station where Warner’s blood alcohol level was found to be more than double the legal limit. After accepting the charges, Warner’s punishment will be announced on August 18.

Warner called his move foolish – lawyer

According to lawyer Bobby Hill, David Warner has not only admitted his mistake but has also called his actions a foolish move. He said Warner believes he should have decided to take an Uber at that time instead of driving himself. He believes that what he did was completely wrong.

Sydney Thunder’s captaincy may be in danger

The incident of David Warner accepting the charge of drunk driving may also affect his connection with Big Bash franchise Sydney Thunder. It is believed that this entire incident may upset Sydney Thunder and in such a situation, David Warner’s captaincy may also be in danger for the franchise. Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers and New South Wales Blues are part of the state government’s campaign to stop drunk driving.

After Warner’s arrest, Cricket New South Wales Chief Executive Officer Lee German said in his statement that such incidents are worrying and we take them very seriously. He said that at Cricket New South Wales we are in favor of safe driving, not drunk driving. Apart from this, he also said that whether Warner will remain the captain or not, that too will be decided later.
