Here in Thangalpalli mandal, about 15 children fell ill after eating Panipuri, who had to be immediately admitted to the hospital.

According to Thangalpalli police, “The children and their families had eaten panipuri from a street vendor who had come to sell it inside the colony. Shortly thereafter, 15 children started vomiting and having diarrhoea. They were immediately admitted to Rajanna Sircilla district civil hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. No complaint has been received from the family yet. After receiving the information, we have taken the panipuri vendor into custody and he is being interrogated.”

  • Earlier, on June 8, a similar case was reported in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. Officials said more than a dozen children in Wards 9 and 10 fell ill after allegedly drinking contaminated water and were admitted to the district hospital.
  • After this incident, the district administration started investigation and took water samples from the affected area and sent them to the lab for testing to find out the cause of the disease.

None of the cases are serious,” a doctor told ANI. He also informed that about 10 children aged between 5 to 11 years are admitted in the district hospital.
