A 25-year-old young tourist died tragically after jumping into the swimming pool at a luxury resort located in Vyari area of Malvan. The live video of this shocking accident is now going viral on social media, which has shocked everyone.
Dance, dive and that fatal mistake
The deceased has been identified as Shrenik Milind Takle, a resident of Kolhapur district. Shrenik, along with nine of his close friends, had gone on a holiday to a resort in Vyari area of Malvan, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The incident is said to have taken place on June 20. According to eyewitnesses, all the friends were very happy by the swimming pool of the resort, music was playing and everyone was dancing in fun. Shrenik can also be seen smiling and dancing with friends in the moments just before the accident, captured on camera. But no one had any idea what was going to happen in the next moment. While dancing, suddenly Shrenik climbed onto a place about eight to ten feet high on the edge of the pool. Without thinking about the depth, he took a tremendous ‘dive’ headlong into the pool.

Four feet deep water and death trap
Heartbreaking truth: The area where Shrenik jumped was actually a very shallow end zone meant for children to swim. The depth of this pool was only around four feet. Due to the speed of jumping from such a height and the huge pressure of his body, Shrenik’s head hit the concrete bottom of the pool with great force. Due to lack of water, the impact on the head and neck was so severe that they did not even get a moment to recover. According to the police, Shrenik died on the spot due to serious injuries to his spinal cord and head.

After a few seconds, Shrenik’s jump and then an atmosphere of chaos is seen. The video is also reminding people of the importance of following swimming pool safety rules.
Rush to hospital amid screams
Where there was laughter and joking a moment ago, suddenly there was shouting. The friends were shocked to see Shrenik unconscious and bleeding in the pool. They hurriedly took him to Malvan Rural Hospital. But alas, it was too late. After examination, the doctors declared him dead before reaching the hospital. After this incident, Malvan Police has registered ‘Accidental Death Report’ (ADR) under the supervision of Police Sub Inspector Ganesh Mane. After completing the post-mortem formalities, the body of the youth was handed over to his crying family. This horrific accident has once again raised big questions on the safety standards in resorts and the carelessness taken during adventure.
