Car Rush Test: Mahindra has recently launched Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE 6e electric cars. The company tested the safety features of XEV 9e in an internal crash test. This test was done at Mahindra’s facility in Chennai. Mahindra’s SUV cars are known for their excellent safety features. The era of safe cars is going on in India, and electric cars with 5 star safety rating like Tata Curvv EV are already present in the market.
If XEV 9e has to survive in the market, then Curve EV will have to compete in terms of safety as well. Mahindra already has many cars which have received 4 or 5 star ratings in the Global NCAP crash test. Although, there is no global NCAP crash test of Mahindra electric suv Will be successful in achieving perfect score.
Mahindra XEV 9e: Battery and range
Mahindra XEV 9e has been introduced in two battery pack options – 59kWh and 79kWh. Mahindra claims that this car can cover a distance of about 650 kilometers (MIDC certified range) on full charge. With a 175 kW fast charger, this electric car will be charged from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

In terms of safety, Mahindra is making big claims for the XEV 9e. 7 airbags will be available in the top variant of Mahindra XEV 9e. Apart from this, tremendous safety features like 360 degree camera, parking sensors, blind spot monitoring and ADAS i.e. Advanced Driving Assistance System will be available.

The base model of Mahindra XEV 9e has safety features like 6 airbags, reverse camera, electronic parking brake and tire pressure monitor. XEV 9E has been launched at a starting price of Rs 21.90 lakh. This electric car comes in three variants – Pack 1, Pack 2 and Pack 3. Till now only the price of Pack 1 has been revealed.
