According to the information, Congress may not get the post of Deputy CM in Jharkhand but will definitely get 4 ministerial posts. The names most discussed for the post of 4 ministers can include Rameshwar Oraon, Deepika Pandey Singh, Irfan Ansari and Anoop Singh and Shweta Singh. In this, the first three leaders had also been ministers in the previous government of Hemant Soren. There is a tussle going on within the party regarding the fourth name.
Anup Singh and Shweta Singh are in trouble
Anup Singh comes from Dhanbad, belongs to upper caste and Rajput community. He is the son of Rajendra Singh, an influential, big, old family with a strong hold on labor union politics. On the other hand, Shweta Singh is the daughter-in-law of Bokaro’s big leader Samaresh Singh. She is from Youth Congress, lost the last election by less votes, has won for the first time. Now the high command has to approve one of these two names.
Hemant Soren met Kharge in the presence of Rahul
Hemant Soren, who reached Delhi, along with his wife Kalpana Soren also met Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi was also present. In the Jharkhand Assembly elections, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha led by Hemant Soren has won 34 seats. In a state with 81 assembly seats, Congress had to be content with only 16 seats. RJD has got 4 seats. Whereas, BJP has been successful in winning 21 seats. AJSUP and LJPRV have got one seat and CPIML has got 2 seats.
