Congress President Kharge’s tongue slipped, said something like this to PM Modi – created an uproar. Mallikarjun Kharge Calls PM Modi A Terrorist Sparks Major Political Row

Congress President Kharge called PM Modi a ‘terrorist’, but later clarified that he meant someone who intimidates. He also criticized the 131st Constitution Amendment Bill, calling AIADMK a slave of BJP.

Chennai : The atmosphere of Lok Sabha elections is heating up and meanwhile, a statement by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has created a political uproar. Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kharge called him a ‘terrorist’, although soon after he clarified his statement. Speaking to the media just two days before the elections in Tamil Nadu, Kharge fiercely targeted the alliance of AIADMK and BJP. He said, “How can AIADMK go with Modi? He is a terrorist. He does not believe in equality. His party does not believe in equality and justice. Joining hands with such people is like weakening democracy.”

Gave immediate clarification on the statement

As the controversy over the use of the word ‘terrorist’ began to escalate, Kharge immediately controlled his stance. Clarifying, he said, “When I said terrorist, I meant that he terrorises everyone.” In this way he tried to calm the controversy.

Joy over the defeat of the 131st Constitution Amendment Bill

Meanwhile, Kharge praised the failure of the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill to be passed in the Lok Sabha. He said, “BJP is playing a dangerous game by linking women’s reservation with delimitation. It is like punishing states like Tamil Nadu which have successfully controlled their population. Opposition parties united and defeated this bill.”

Targeted at AIADMK

At a rally in Velachery, Tamil Nadu, Kharge described the AIADMK as a “secret slave partner” of the BJP. He said, “You need leaders who will not bow before the BJP, and only MK Stalin can do this. Today the AIADMK has lost its identity. It has become a slave to Modi, hence cannot protect the interests of Tamil Nadu.”
