Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made many important announcements in view of the upcoming festivals. He has directed to pay special attention to maintaining better law and order in the state and making proper arrangements for cleanliness during festivals. Also, CM Yogi has announced 24-hour power supply in the state from October 28 to November 15.
In the state level review meeting, the Chief Minister gave directions to the officials for smoothly organizing Diwali, Dhanteras, Deepotsav, Dev Deepawali, and Chhath Puja. All Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates, Additional Director General of Police, Police Commissioner and many senior officers were present in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that more vigilance should be taken from security point of view in the state during festivals. Deploying additional police forces in sensitive areas should be ensured and special plans should be made for smooth traffic in every city. The Chief Minister also directed that 24-hour power supply should be ensured in the state from October 28 to November 15, so that people do not face any inconvenience during the festivals.
Yogi gave instructions
CM Yogi said that festivals in the state should be celebrated with joy and happiness, and people’s facilities should be taken full care of. He also gave instructions to take strict action against miscreants and anarchical elements. The grand celebration of Deepotsav in Ayodhya is to be held on 30 October this year. This event is being organized for the first time after the consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lalla in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, and more presence of devotees is expected on this occasion. Also, Dev Diwali will be organized in Varanasi on 15th November, for which special arrangements should be made for security and crowd management. All necessary preparations should be completed on time as per the dignity of Deepotsav and Dev Diwali.
Chhath festival should be organized as a standard festival of ‘cleanliness and safety’. Special efforts should be made by the Urban Development and Panchayati Raj Department to maintain cleanliness in the entire state during the festival of Chhath. While respecting the faith of the people, it should be ensured that the rivers are not polluted. Besides, the ghats should be cleaned and traffic management should be taken care of.
Action will be taken against miscreants
The Chief Minister directed that festivals should be celebrated with joy and gaiety, people’s facilities should be taken care of, and strict action should be taken against miscreants and unruly elements. Firecracker shops and warehouses should be away from populated areas, and adequate arrangements for fire tenders should be made everywhere. Police vigil will be increased on social media, and strict action will be taken against those spreading fake news. As soon as information about any untoward incident is received, the District Magistrate and senior police officers will immediately reach the spot.
