Delhi CM Rekha Gupta has taken action in the CPA scam. Five pharmacists and two officers were suspended after deficiencies were found during inspection. The case pertains to an alleged scam in procurement worth ₹650 crore.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta took big action on Saturday in the CPA scam. After the matter came to light, the Chief Minister inspected various stores of the Central Procurement Agency (CPA). During this period huge flaws and negligence were exposed. After which, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, 5 pharmacists and 2 officers were suspended with immediate effect.
Corruption cannot be tolerated in public health service
Let us tell you that even before this, Delhi Government and CM Rekha Gupta have clearly said that any kind of irregularity or corruption will not be tolerated in the public health service. The CM bluntly said that his government is working on ‘zero tolerance’ policy and action will be taken against the employees and officers found guilty.
650 crore scam in health department
Let us inform that a case of alleged scam of about Rs 650 crore has come to light in the purchase of medicines, surgical materials and medical equipment through the Central Procurement Agency (CPA) of the Health Department in Delhi. In which manipulation was done in buying and selling on a large scale. After all the complaints came to light, now Delhi CM Rekha Gupta herself has taken charge.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s ultimatum to coaching institutes
- Meanwhile, CM Rekha Gupta has given a strict ultimatum to all the coaching institutes of the capital on Saturday. It has been said in the CM’s order that all the coaching institutes have been given one month’s time to follow the fire safety rules. The CM has warned that any institute that does not follow these rules, strict action will be taken against it and it can also be sealed. Gupta said in a post on social media platform
- He wrote, “One month. This is the deadline. How many coaching institutes are there in Delhi is not the issue. The safety and security of our children is of utmost importance. Any coaching institute which does not have fire audit, necessary safety equipment or prescribed safety measures, if it does not rectify these deficiencies within a month, strict action will be taken against it, including sealing.”
