Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday inaugurated the renovation and beautification work of Kali Mandir (Maharani Sthan) located in Bakhtiyarpur in Patna district by unveiling the stone slab. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Kali temple and wished for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the state. After this, Chief Minister Nitish also offered prayers at Radhe Krishna temple.
According to the information, this famous Kali temple was established about two hundred years ago. The mythological name of the temple is Maharani Sthan, Bakhtiyarpur. Along with the idol of Kali Maa, nine forms of Maa Durga are installed in the temple. Besides, the idols of other gods and goddesses are also installed in the same temple. It is located at a distance of about 45 kilometers from Patna Railway Station.
Contribution of local people to the temple
Renovation and beautification work of this mythological temple has been done by the local people and devotees in about two years. Under this, work like strengthening of the structure of the temple, work of stone and tiles, construction of gate, painting, lighting etc. has been done. Bakhtiyarpur comes under Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. This place has been named after Qutubuddin Bakhtiar. He was a Sufi saint of Chishti sect.
CM also talked to common people
After this, the Chief Minister also offered prayers at the Radha-Krishna temple adjacent to the Bakhtiyarpur Kali temple. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also listened to the problems of the people of the area and also gave instructions to senior officials to solve them. CM Nitish Kumar has special attachment to Bakhtiyarpur. Many leaders and senior officials were present on this occasion.
