In the natural farming workshop organized in Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav appealed to the farmers to adopt natural farming. He termed chemical fertilizers and pesticides as harmful and said that cattle rearing farmers will be given an assistance of Rs 1100 per cow.

‘Natural Farming Workshop cum Farmers Seminar’ was organized on 20th June at the State Agricultural Extension and Training Institute (CIPET) located at Barkhedikala, Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in this program virtually. During this, the program of releasing the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from West Bengal was also telecast live. Prime Minister Modi sent a total amount of Rs 18 thousand 880 crore to the accounts of more than 9.40 crore farmers of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated all the beneficiary farmers of the state and called for adopting natural farming.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Farmers received 23rd installment, CM congratulated

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many schemes are being run for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth and women. He said that the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an honor for the hard work of the farmers and it is providing financial strength to the farmers. He said that Madhya Pradesh government is also celebrating ‘Krishak Kalyan Varsh’ to increase the income of farmers. Under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana, an amount of Rs 1500 is being sent to the accounts of women every month before the 15th.

Natural Farming Benefits: Natural farming will increase farmers’ income and soil fertility.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working to promote natural farming. This will increase the income of farmers and also strengthen the fertility of the soil. Also, dependence on chemical fertilizers will be reduced. He said that naturally grown products like indigenous jowar, bajra, wheat and gram would provide better taste and nutrition to the people. The government is also linking farmers with milk production, which will create new sources of income for them and will also help in making natural fertilizers.

MSP and Bonus Scheme: Government committed to giving right price to farmers for their produce

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is making continuous efforts to provide fair prices to the farmers for their crops. First soybean growers were given the benefit of Bhavantar Scheme and later wheat was procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) with a bonus of Rs 40 per quintal. He told that the government has purchased each grain of wheat from the farmers and paid them Rs 2625 per quintal.

Chemical Fertilizer Side Effects: Pesticides and chemical fertilizers can increase serious diseases.

The Chief Minister said that excessive use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers in crops is harmful. Due to this, the risk of serious diseases like cancer may increase. For this reason, the state government is trying to bring the farmers back to natural farming. He said that positive results have emerged in this direction and today Madhya Pradesh is among the states doing the most natural farming in the country.

Gau Palak Yojana: Cow Palak farmers will get Rs 1100 per cow

The Chief Minister said that cow plays an important role in natural farming. Keeping this in mind, the state government will provide financial assistance of Rs 1100 per cow to cattle rearing farmers. Farmers can prepare organic fertilizer from cow dung and cow urine and use it in the fields. He said that cow shelters are being expanded rapidly in the state, so that natural farming can be further strengthened and its produce can get better market and fair price.
