Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the state level IG conference organized at the Police Headquarters on Friday, June 13. On reaching the police headquarters, he was given a guard of honor by the soldiers. During this, while addressing the police officers, the Chief Minister said that the most important responsibility of the police is to maintain the safety of the citizens of the state and their faith in law and order.
He said that any victim should be treated sensitively and respectfully and prompt action should be ensured on his complaint. During the discussion with the media after the conference, the Chief Minister, while mentioning the case of the recently arrested associate of terrorists, said that Madhya Pradesh Police is fully capable of finding and arresting such elements and destroying their network.
MP Police Conference: Special focus on cyber crime, women safety and road accidents
In the IG conference, the Chief Minister said that Simhastha 2028 is a great festival related to the faith of crores of devotees. In such a huge event, Madhya Pradesh Police can set an example of better management with sensitivity, vigilance, proactivity and spirit of service. He directed the officials to give top priority to prevention of cyber crimes and increasing awareness among the people. Along with this, emphasis was also laid on reducing road accidents, controlling human trafficking, strengthening the safety of women and children and ensuring effective compliance of the court’s instructions related to the use of loudspeakers at religious places.
MP Police Achievements: Ending Naxalism called a big success
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that recently a detailed review of the Home Department has been conducted and he is satisfied that Madhya Pradesh Police has made many remarkable achievements in the last two and a half years. He said that Naxalism had remained a major challenge for a long time in Mandla, Balaghat, Dindori and other areas of the state, due to which development work was affected and many people lost their lives. The Chief Minister said that under the determination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the police has played an important role in freeing the state from this problem by taking effective action against Naxalism. He claimed that Madhya Pradesh has become such a state in the country which has achieved great success in ending the challenge of Naxalism in its region.
Bhojshala Case and Law & Order: Police’s role appreciated in following court orders
Referring to the Bhojshala case, the Chief Minister said that successfully implementing court orders is also one of the important achievements of the police. He said that the police is continuously working on many fronts to maintain law and order in the state. Although new threats such as cyber crime are constantly emerging, the government is providing necessary resources to deal with these challenges.
MP Police Recruitment: Police strength will increase with 22 thousand recruitments
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously running recruitment drives to strengthen the police force. Appointments have been made on various posts including Sub-Inspector and the process of recruitment on about 22 thousand posts is being carried forward since last year. He said that the government is trying to ensure that no important post remains vacant in the police department. Regular recruitment process will be continued in the coming years also so that the capacity and effectiveness of the police force can be continuously increased.
Terror Network Exposed: Chief Minister’s statement on the arrest of terrorist’s associate
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the police is continuously active in strengthening good governance and security system in the state. He described the recent arrest of an associate of terrorists as a big success. He said that the police, showing promptness, not only arrested the accused but also exposed the network and the entire conspiracy related to him. During the investigation, material related to fundamentalist ideology was also recovered from the incident site. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh Police has full capability to reach such hidden elements and destroy their networks.
