The Chief Minister on Friday said the incident was “beyond imagination and extremely shocking”. According to him, it is time to think why such a feeling of hatred and vengeance is developing among the youth from educated and affluent families. He said that the society will have to create such an environment where such cruel mentality does not develop at an early age.

Chief Minister met Ketan’s family

The Chief Minister’s reaction came when Ketan Agarwal’s family met him in Pune. Ketan’s father Vishal Aggarwal demanded death sentence for the accused. After the meeting, he said that the Chief Minister has assured to personally monitor the case and punish the culprits as soon as possible.

Both the accused are in police custody

In this case, accused Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary have been sent to police custody till June 29. During the investigation, both are accusing each other of pushing Ketan into the ditch. Initial investigation has also revealed that both of them had allegedly made the entire plan together. Meanwhile, a CCTV footage has also surfaced, in which both the accused were seen in a cafe in Pune before the death of Ketan. Police are examining this footage as important evidence.

A painful ending happened after a few months of engagement

According to the information, Ketan and Siya got engaged in February this year. Both the families met in Bengaluru, after which the relationship was finalized a week later. Ketan’s family says that they had already expressed concern about Siya’s behaviour. He said that Siya’s phone was often busy and she used to argue over small matters. During interrogation, Sia reportedly admitted that she did not like Ketan because of his falling hair and stammering.

On the other hand, Chetan’s family has claimed that he was standing at some distance at the time of the incident and Sia took the decision to push Ketan. At present the police is investigating the case on the basis of all the evidence, digital records and witnesses.
