Sugarcane prices in other states

If we talk about states other than Punjab, this year the State Support Price (SAP) of sugarcane has been fixed at Rs 400 per quintal in Punjab’s neighboring state Haryana. At the same time, the Central Government has set the Minimum Support Price (FRP) of sugarcane at Rs 340 per quintal, which means that private mills cannot buy sugarcane from farmers at a price less than Rs 340 per quintal. The Central Government determines the FRP of sugarcane every year. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh it is Rs 340-360 per quintal. The price of sugarcane in Bihar is Rs 300-360 per quintal.
