As soon as the name of government recruitment examinations came up in Uttar Pradesh, news of paper leaks, solver gangs and copying mafias used to be in the headlines. There was a fear in the minds of the candidates that despite their hard work, the transparency of the examination might be in question. But now the picture seems to be changing rapidly. During the examination in Lucknow, the rumor of paper leak was spread on social media, but due to the prompt action of the administration and the commission, this claim was proved to be completely false. Investigation revealed that the question paper and OMR sheets were completely safe and sealed. This was the reason that the attempts of those spreading rumors failed and the examination was conducted peacefully.
Rumor spread on social media, but investigation turned out to be fake
During the Lekhpal main examination, some social media posts regarding Gopinath Laxmandas Rastogi Inter College located in Aishbagh, Lucknow started going viral. It was claimed that the exam paper has been leaked. As soon as the information was received, the district administration, UPSSSC and monitoring teams immediately started investigation. Investigation revealed that the question papers were completely sealed, the OMR sheets were safe, there was no leak or irregularity of any kind. In fact, some candidates from an examination hall came out in confusion. Some people exaggerated this incident on social media and spread rumors of paper leak. However, the officials clarified the situation on the spot, after which the candidates returned to the examination hall and the examination continued normally.

Examination conducted peacefully in 44 districts
Lekhpal Main Examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) was conducted at 861 examination centers in 44 districts of the state. As per the data: Total Registered Candidates: 3,66,712, Candidates Appeared in the Exam: 3,01,756, Attendance Percentage: 82.29%. Experts believe that the presence of such a large number of candidates shows that the confidence of the youth regarding recruitment examinations is now stronger than before.
Hi-tech surveillance becomes the biggest weapon
This time the examination system was completely technology based. Live monitoring was arranged from the Commission headquarters to every examination centre. Major systems used in the exam: 18,883 CCTV cameras, 7,683 biometric operators, 6,297 frisking guards, AI based identification system, live monitoring from the control command room, which made it possible to take immediate action on any suspicious activity. In Bulandshahr, a suspicious candidate was caught during AI and biometric checking, after which he was handed over to the police.
Continuous strictness on copying mafias
At one time, incidents of paper leaks and solver gangs in recruitment examinations were considered common in Uttar Pradesh. Many examinations were canceled and questions were raised on the hard work of lakhs of youth. But in the last few years, the Yogi government has made major changes in the examination system. The government has strongly implemented systems like biometric verification, digital tracking, AI monitoring, live monitoring at centres, administrative accountability. The government claims that these steps have caused a major blow to the copying and paper leak network.
Lekhpal recruitment was a big test of candidates’ confidence
The Lekhpal recruitment exam was not just a government job exam, but it was also a test of the trust that lakhs of youth have reposed on the new recruitment system. Despite the rumors spread during the examination, the way the administration immediately took action and clarified the situation, it indicated that now the examination system has become more alert and technically strong than before.
