CJP’s protest continues at Jantar Mantar against NEET rigging. People supported by sending 500+ packets through food apps. The government has claimed 13 arrests, but the opposition is adamant on the resignation of the Education Minister and discussion in Parliament.
New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest continues at Jantar Mantar regarding irregularities in NEET exam. Meanwhile, the movement is getting a unique support. People from across the country are ordering food for the protesters through food delivery apps. Volunteers and delivery boys said that till now more than 500 food packets have arrived from different states. These include everything from burgers, sandwiches to water bottles. In fact, a day earlier the police had closed the roads leading to the protest site, making it difficult for the protesters to get food and water. After this people came up with this unique method.
After the police action, CJP has again intensified its agitation at Jantar Mantar. Hundreds of youth have come to participate in this demonstration since morning. CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranga alleged that in the previous clash the police had even used pellet guns. At the same time, the central government is adamant that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will not resign. Left MPs have demanded that the Prime Minister should ask for resignation from Dharmendra Pradhan. Many left leaders including MPs from Kerala reached Jantar Mantar and talked to Abhijeet Deepke.
We took strict action on NEET: Prime Minister
Meanwhile, in the NDA parliamentary party meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the government has taken a tough stance on NEET rigging. He said, “As soon as information about the paper leak was received, we took immediate action. 13 people were arrested and sent to jail. Good lawyers were appointed so that the culprits were punished.”
The Prime Minister also said that to ensure that the future of the students is not affected, re-examination was conducted and the results were declared soon. He also mentioned the demonstrations taking place on the streets. The PM asked the MPs to reach out to the ‘misguided youth’ and show them the right path. On the other hand, there was an uproar on this issue in both the houses of the Parliament. The opposition was demanding discussion on issues like NEET rigging and lathi charge on students, which was rejected by the government. After this the proceedings of both the houses came to a standstill.
