A Class 6 student died under suspicious circumstances in a private school in Vasant Vihar area of Delhi. The family members have accused him of murder. Video footage of the fight between the deceased student and his classmate has emerged in the school’s CCTV camera. Police have sent the body of the deceased student for post-mortem. The police has started the investigation. Police say that after the post mortem report comes, it will help in revealing the incident. Police is investigating the case from every angle.
The incident took place at Chinmay Mission School located in Vasant Vihar area. Police said that the 12-year-old student, a resident of Kudumpur Pahari in Vasant Vihar, was a sixth class student of Prince School. DCP South West Surendra Chaudhary said that the child was first taken to Holy Angels Hospital, then to Fortis. There he was declared dead. The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem, but the report has not come yet. The incident is being investigated.
There was chaos among the family due to the death of the child.
Police are interrogating the students and teachers of the school. The incident occurred at 8:30 am on Tuesday. According to the student’s father Sagar, he had dropped his son to school as usual to study. He was absolutely healthy at that time. He got a call at 9:45 in the morning that his son was injured and was in the hospital. When he reached the hospital, he came to know that his son had died. Police say that they had received information from Forties Hospital at 10:15 in the morning that the student was brought to the hospital dead.
Family members created ruckus
Prince’s father works as a laborer in sewer line in Sagar Vasant Vihar Society. His son’s admission in the school was done under WS. Anger grew among family members and other people regarding the incident. The ruckus continued till late night accusing the school administration of negligence. The police consoled the angry people and talked about punishment against the accused. Police have recovered CCTV footage from the school.

There was a scuffle between children
According to police sources, in the footage two students are seen fighting in the class room after the school prayer. Prince fell after the scuffle. DCP South West Surendra Chaudhary said that preliminary investigation has revealed that there was a scuffle between the children in the school over a trivial matter, in which Prince fell. In this case, FIR has been registered under section 105 of BNS. The investigation will proceed on the basis of the post-mortem report. Initial investigation has revealed that the child fell during a scuffle between children, after which he was taken to the hospital.
