The level of pollution is continuously increasing in Delhi, from Monday again a blanket of pollution was seen in Delhi NCR. People are also facing health related problems due to pollution, hence Noida DM has extended the ban on physical classes till Tuesday. This means that even on Tuesday, schools from nursery to class 12th will remain closed and online classes will be conducted by the schools.
In view of the continuously increasing level of pollution, DM Manish Kumar in Noida has issued an order in which he has directed to ban physical classes till 26th November. After this order, schools of entire Gautam Buddha Nagar will remain closed which includes all areas including Noida and Greater. It is written in the official notice that this decision has been taken considering the level of pollution in the air.
Grape-4 restrictions
Currently, Grape-4 restrictions are in force in Delhi, while air pollution is showing no signs of reducing. A hearing on this issue was also held in the Supreme Court on Monday. The Supreme Court made it clear during the hearing that Grape-4 restrictions will continue in Delhi and surrounding areas. However, during this time, the Supreme Court has said to consider relaxation on physical classes.
concern for poor children
The court has expressed concern that due to closure of physical classes, children are not able to avail the benefits of essential facilities like mid-day meal. At the same time, due to lack of adequate facilities, many children are not able to avail the facility of online classes. AQI still remains above 400 at most places in Delhi NCR. There doesn’t seem to be any scope for improvement in the situation at present. In such a situation, the administration’s decision to continue the school closure is inevitable.
Apart from air pollution, pollution level is also high in Yamuna in Delhi, white foam is also seen floating in Yamuna in Kalindi Kunj of Delhi. The level of pollution in Yamuna is seen increasing continuously.
