CM Vishnu Dev Sai blessed 13 couples in the Karma Mahotsav and mass marriage program in Bharar, Durg. He made development announcements worth Rs 60 lakh and also highlighted the schemes and achievements of the state.
Raipur. Tehsil level huge Karma Mahotsav and mass ideal marriage program organized in village Bharar (Jamgaon-R) of Durg district emerged as a wonderful example of social unity and tradition. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai participated in this program and blessed the 13 newly married couples and wished them a happy married life and bright future.
Announcement of financial assistance for development works
During the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a shed in Sahu Samaj Bhawan, Patan. Along with this, an additional amount of Rs 10 lakh was also announced for construction of toilet and shed in Gram Bharar Panchayat and construction of CC road. These announcements are expected to give impetus to the development of the area.
Mention of contribution of Sahu Samaj and Mata Karma
In his address, the Chief Minister described Sahu community as the largest and proudest society of Chhattisgarh. Recalling the contribution of Mata Karma, he said that her devotion and service spirit still inspires the society. He also paid tribute to late Tarachand Sahu and shared his experiences spent with him.
Achievements and schemes of the state government
The Chief Minister said that in the last 28 months, several important steps have been taken to establish good governance in the state and fulfill the “Modi Guarantee”. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the country is becoming self-reliant and development is also happening rapidly in the state.
He informed that 18 lakh families are being given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The outstanding bonus has been given to the farmers and paddy is being purchased at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal. Through “Mahtari Vandan Yojana” women are getting financial assistance every month, due to which they are starting small businesses like sewing, embroidery and grocery shops.
Ramlala Darshan Scheme and development in Bastar
The Chief Minister said that under ‘Ramlala Darshan Yojana’, about 42 thousand people have got benefits in the last two years. He also described the reduction in Naxal problem in Bastar region and acceleration in development works as a big achievement of the government.
Electricity bill resolution scheme and expansion of digital services
Referring to the energy sector schemes, the Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister Electricity Bill Payment Solution Scheme-2026 has been started in March 2026. Under this scheme, 100 percent rebate is being given on interest and surcharge on old outstanding electricity bills.
Consumers can easily register and check their eligibility through ‘Mor Bijli App’. Apart from this, digital services are being promoted by opening Atal Digital Centers in every village.
Government’s focus on farmers and good governance
The government is providing fertilizers and seeds to farmers through primary agricultural credit societies. Besides, effective steps are also being taken to control corruption and strengthen good governance, due to which development work has gained momentum.
Presence of public representatives in the program
A large number of public representatives and citizens including MP Vijay Baghel, Commissioner Satyanarayan Rathore, Collector Abhijeet Singh, District Sahu Sangh President Nandlal Sahu, Telghani Board President Jitendra Sahu were present in this program.
