Cooperative Week 2026 started in Raipur. Minister Kedar Kashyap said that rural families and farmers will be economically strengthened by making cooperative a mass movement.

Raipur. The Cooperative Week organized on the occasion of completion of five years of the Cooperative Ministry was inaugurated today at the District Cooperative Central Bank located in Raipur. Cooperation Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap attended the program as the chief guest. He said that cooperation is not just a system, but a strong thinking of development by taking people together. The objective of the government is to strengthen the economic condition of every rural family by making cooperative a mass movement.

New expansion and new identity in five years of Cooperative Ministry

Minister Shri Kashyap said that the cooperative sector in the country has got a new identity with the establishment of the Cooperative Ministry under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and under the guidance of Union Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah. He said that in the last five years, many important and historic decisions have been taken to empower farmers, women, youth and rural economy through cooperatives. These efforts have strengthened both the role and influence of cooperative institutions.

Chhattisgarh government is strengthening cooperation from village to village

The Cooperative Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the state government is continuously working to strengthen the cooperative system in every village. He said that primary agricultural credit societies are being made more capable. Timely loans are being provided to farmers and transparency and use of modern technology is being promoted in cooperative institutions. These efforts are strengthening the rural economy.

Minister Shri Kashyap said that “development together” is the basic mantra of cooperation. With this thinking the dream of self-reliant India and developed Chhattisgarh can be realized. He appealed to the officials and employees of cooperative institutions to work with complete integrity, transparency and accountability, so that people’s trust in the cooperative system is further strengthened. He also said that Cooperative Week is not just a formal event, but a big campaign to spread the schemes, achievements and public welfare works of cooperatives to the common people.

Programs will be held throughout the week, focus will be on connecting youth with co-operation

The minister said that various programs will be organized throughout the week. Through these events, efforts will be made to connect the new generation with the cooperative movement and to give new impetus to the rural economy. The program started with paying tribute to the father of cooperative movement, Pandit Vamanrao Baliram Lakhe by garlanding his statue.

Many public representatives and officials of cooperative organizations were present.

On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank Limited Mr. Kedarnath Gupta, Chairman of District Cooperative Central Bank Raipur Mr. Niranjan Sinha, Vice President Mr. Abhinesh Kashyap along with many public representatives, senior officials of cooperative institutions and a large number of employees were present.
