PM Kisan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 23rd installment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Tarakeswar, Hooghly, West Bengal on Saturday. Under this installment, an amount of more than Rs 18,880 crore will be sent to the accounts of about 9.44 crore farmers. However, it is not necessary that all registered farmers get an installment of Rs 2,000.
Sometimes the installment may get stuck due to incomplete e-KYC, discrepancy in Aadhaar and bank account information or other technical reasons. Therefore, farmers should check their records beforehand.
1. e-KYC not completed
e-KYC is mandatory for all beneficiaries of PM-Kisan scheme. Those farmers who have not yet completed e-KYC, their installments may be stopped.
e-KYC can be done in three ways:
- OTP based e-KYC (on PM-Kisan portal and mobile app)
- Biometric e-KYC (at CSC and Seva Kendras)
- Face Authentication based e-KYC (on PM-Kisan mobile app)
2. Difference in information about Aadhaar and PM-Kisan
If your name, date of birth, gender or Aadhaar number information is different in PM-Kisan record and Aadhaar card, the verification process may fail and the installment will not come. Even a small spelling mistake can cause payment to be stopped.
3. Incorrect bank account information
If the bank account is closed, inactive, wrong account number is entered or is not properly linked to Aadhaar, then money will not be transferred through DBT. Farmers must check the account number, IFSC code and Aadhaar seeding status.
4. Pending verification of land records
Verification of land records is necessary to get the benefit of PM-Kisan Yojana. If the documents related to the land are incomplete or their verification is yet to be done by the state government, then the installment can be stopped. Even in case of non-agricultural use of agricultural land, the benefit of the scheme will not be available.
5. Found ineligible in verification
Some categories of people are not eligible for PM-Kisan Scheme. These include income tax payers, serving or retired government employees (except some lower category employees), doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and other professionals. If any beneficiary is found ineligible during verification, his installment may be stopped.
