Ananya Panday and Lakshya, the popular faces of modern Bollywood, have teamed up for Vivek Soni’s , a romantic drama produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
The recently released teaser indicated that the film is not a run-of-the-mill love story. Chand Mera Dil explores the mature side of college romance. When the romantic drama is backed by Karan, good songs are a must. The title track was released today (April 14). Sung by Faheem Abdullah, the song is composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Chand Mera Dil title song
The title track of Chand Mera Dil offers an insight into Ananya and Lakshya’s romance and chemistry. Revisiting the golden era of Bollywood music, the song is laced with soft yet intense emotions of love. According to composers Sachin and Jigar, Chand Mera Dil’s title song aims to be a melody that feels both timeless and fresh. They said emotions guided the composition and hence, it is minimal and deeply impactful.
Faheem, who shot to fame with Ahaan Panday’s Saiyaara title song, looked at Chand Mera Dil’s ‘delicate innocence’ and said that’s what attracted him the most. As per his understanding, the song isn’t just about love, but about those quiet moments that define it.
For director Vivek, the title track is very ‘close to the heart because it captures feelings in its simplest, most honest form.’ He shared that it gently draws the listeners into the world of the film, its characters and its emotion.
Why was Chand Mera Dil title song postponed?
The song was scheduled to release on April 13. However, due to Asha Bhosle’s sudden demise on April 12, the makers decided to postpone it as a tribute to her legacy.

According to reports, Chand Mera Dil ‘chronicles the intertwined lives of engineering students as they navigate academic challenges, forge friendships, and discover themselves in university.’ Ananya plays the role of Chandni and Lakshya is Aarav. The teaser of the film drew mixed reactions. A section of the internet noticed similarities between Chand Mera Dil, Kabir Singh and the recent Saiyaara, featuring Ananya’s cousin brother, Ahaan.
Presented by Dharma Productions, Chand Mera Dil is produced by , Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Marijke deSouza. Directed by Vivek Soni, the movie is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on May 22, 2026. It will clash with Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
