Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [भारत]July 19 (ANI): Superstar Mammootty, Dhanush, director Rajkumar Periyasamy and editor R. Kalaivanan celebrates his National Award win on the sets of his upcoming film ‘OM’. The film is written and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy.
Mammootty shared pictures on his X handle, in which he, Dhanush, R. Kalaivanan and Rajkumar Periyasamy are seen cutting a cake to celebrate their National Award win. The film’s director Rajkumar Periyasamy was also with him. Sharing pictures, Mammootty wrote, “A small celebration of our National Award win with Dhanush, Rajkumar Periyasamy and R. Kalaivanan on the sets of OM. Grateful for everyone’s love and wishes.”
Who won which award?
Mammootty won the National Award in the Best Actor category for his performance in the film ‘Bramayugam’. This Malayalam period folk horror film was written and directed by Rahul Sadasivan and jointly produced by YNOT Studios and Night Shift Studios. Apart from the lead actor, the film also starred Arjun Ashokan and Siddharth Bharatan in lead roles.
Dhanush, who is an actor-director, won two honors at the 72nd National Film Awards. One for his directorial debut ‘Rayan’, which won the Best Tamil Film Award, and he received a Special Mention (Best Actor) for his performance in ‘Captain Miller’.
Rajkumar Periyasamy was awarded the Best Director award for ‘Amaran’, while R. Kalaivanan won the National Award in the Best Editing category for the same film.
