This year 24.71 lakh students appeared for CBSE 10th board exam.
This time around 24.71 lakh students had appeared for the CBSE 10th board exam. The exam was conducted between February 17 and March 11, 2026 in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
CBSE 10th Result Pass Percentage 2026: Overall pass percentage was 93.70%
CBSE said that this year’s overall result has been 93.70%. The special thing is that it is slightly better than last year. The girls once again performed brilliantly and their pass percentage was higher than the boys.

This time also the region of South India has topped. Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada recorded the highest pass percentage of 99.79%. After this, students of Chennai, Bengaluru and Delhi West also performed well.
CBSE 10th Result Topper 2026: Nitesh Bahl became topper with 499/500 marks.

CBSE 10th Result Toppers List 2026: CBSE has not released the toppers list.
CBSE has not released any official list of toppers this time also. The board says that this reduces unnecessary competition among students. However, top 0.1% students will be given merit certificate. The board also said that this year the examination of copies was done very fast, due to which the result was declared almost a month earlier than normal.
Interested students can appear for second CBSE board exam in May.
For students who are not satisfied with their results, the second chance examination (Second Board Exam) will be conducted in May 2026.
