CBSE 10th 2nd Phase Exam Result: What is the option if you get less marks?

Case 1: Low marks in only 1 or 2 subjects

If you have not been able to clear only one or two papers in the Phase-2 result, then there is absolutely no need to panic. You will be placed in ‘compartment’ category. Your academic year will not be wasted. CBSE will conduct supplementary examinations in the month of July this year. This will be your third and last chance to save the year. Most of the schools give provisional admission to such students in class 11th, so that your regular studies are not missed. Your admission will be confirmed as soon as you pass in July.

Case 2: Low marks in 3 or more subjects

If 3 or more papers are stuck even after Phase-2, then there is some strictness here. CBSE has now removed the word ‘Fail’ from the report card and started writing ER (Essential Repeat) in its place, but this means that you will have to study this class again. In this situation, you cannot go to class 11th and your temporary admission will be canceled from the school. Students belonging to ER category cannot appear for the July supplementary examination. They will have to register afresh for the next year and re-appear in all 5 or 6 subject papers.

A big relief in CBSE 10th Improvement Result

Whether you have got compartment or ER, you will not have to re-appear in school practical exams or internal assessments. CBSE will carry forward (add) your old practical marks only, so that you can concentrate solely on the written theory paper.

How to handle home environment after CBSE 10th Improvement Result?

Talk to the parents yourself

Parents are angry or stressed because they are worried about your future. Instead of running away from them, sit with them yourself and tell them what future plans you have (like preparation for July compartment or further strategy). When they see you being serious, their anger will subside.

Don’t lock yourself in a room, don’t leave your routine.

Crying or sleeping in the room all day makes the atmosphere of the house more heavy. Get up on time in the morning, have dinner with your family and go for a walk. Give 3-4 hours a day to your weak subject and be normal for the rest of the day.
