Ashadha Amavasya 2026: Amavasya of Ashadh month is going to be celebrated tomorrow i.e. on 14th July. This is also called Ashadhi Amavasya. Tomorrow is Tuesday and the Amavasya falling on this day is called Bhaumvati Amavasya. In Sanatan Dharma, this Amavasya is considered to have special religious significance. According to the scriptures, the date of Amavasya has been dedicated to the ancestors.

Food: Donate food grains on Amavasya. Donating food on this day has special significance. There is a religious belief that donating wheat, rice etc. on this day brings a lot of virtue, which brings happiness and prosperity in life.
Jaggery and Sattu: Donate jaggery and sattu on Amavasya day. It is said that by donating jaggery and sattu on this day, the ancestors become happy and give blessings, which brings happiness in life.
Water, umbrella and slippers: Donate a pitcher filled with water on Ashadh Amavasya. This donation has been considered a great donation. By this donation one gets freedom from all the obstacles of life. Apart from this, donating umbrella and slippers is also very auspicious.
