Voting has ended in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. 65.11 percent voting took place on 288 seats in Maharashtra on Wednesday. The highest number of votes were cast in Kolhapur (76.25%) and the least in Mumbai City (52.07%). At the same time, in Jharkhand, 68.45 percent voting took place on 38 seats in the second phase. The highest turnout was in Jamtara (77.29 percent) and the lowest was in Bokaro (63.22 percent).
There was more voting in both the states than in 2019. Actually, voting was held in a single phase in Maharashtra whereas voting was held in two phases on 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand. The first phase of voting took place here on 13 November. More than 66% votes were cast on 43 seats in the first phase. 61.44% voting was recorded in Maharashtra in 2019.
What does the exit poll say?
Most of the exit polls predict that NDA i.e. Mahayuti government can be formed in Maharashtra. At the same time, an exit poll estimates that Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) government can be formed in Maharashtra. In these three exit polls – Matriz, Republic P-Mark, Peoples Plus, Mahayut’s government seems to be formed in Maharashtra. Mega Lokpal exit poll estimates that Maha Vikas Aghadi may form the government in the state. At the same time, if we talk about Jharkhand, here also the India alliance seems to be facing a setback.
In most of the exit polls, NDA is likely to win. There is competition between INDIA and NDA in the poll of polls. According to the exit poll of Axis My India, India Alliance is expected to get majority in Jharkhand. India alliance may get 53 seats. At the same time, NDA may have to be satisfied with only 25 seats. Three seats can go to others.
