NHSRCL has invited applications for 224 posts for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project. There are posts like Junior Engineer and Station Manager. Candidates with 3 years of experience and relevant degree can apply.
A great opportunity has come up to work in the country’s first bullet train. National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has announced bumper recruitment for 224 posts for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. NHSRCL itself is looking after the work of building this project. This recruitment is being done to rapidly complete the Bullet Train project, one of the largest transport infrastructure projects in India.
On which posts will there be recruitment?
According to reports, a total of 224 posts are to be recruited, which includes 209 non-executive and 15 executive posts. These recruitments are for several departments, which include the following posts:
- junior engineer
- Station/Train Manager
- Depot/Operations Controller
- Information Technology (IT) Security
Junior Engineer posts are for various departments like Civil, Track, Electrical, Signaling & Telecom (S&T), Rolling Stock and Automatic Fare Collection (AFC).
Who can apply?
According to the notice issued, the age of the candidate should be less than 45 years as on May 31, 2026. Also, it is necessary to have at least three years of experience in operation and maintenance in Railway, Metro or Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) projects. Apart from this, as per the post, the candidate should have three years Diploma or BE/BTech degree in the relevant field.
How much salary will you get and what are the facilities?
Selected candidates will get salary under Industrial Deerness Allowance (IDA) pay scale, which will range from Rs 40,000 to Rs 1,25,000 depending on the post. Employees will also get various facilities, such as:
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- medical facilities
- Other allowances and benefits
NHSRCL has also placed a security bond of Rs 3 lakh, under which the selected candidates will have to serve for a minimum of four years.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates will go through a multi-stage recruitment process, which includes:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Document Verification
- medical examination
Only those candidates who successfully clear all these stages will be selected for final appointment.
Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor
The recruitment comes amid the ongoing construction of India’s first high-speed rail project, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor. The Railway Ministry has already shown the aerodynamic design of the train. When this train starts operating, the travel time between Ahmedabad and Mumbai is expected to reduce to about two hours. The current date of inauguration of this project has been fixed as August 15, 2027.
