BTS heads to Tokyo Dome: BTS is back on the move. All seven members left Gimpo International Airport in Seoul on Tuesday (April 14), flying out to Tokyo to kick off the next chapter of their huge ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour. This trip to Japan is a big deal, and it’s the band’s first big international step together since reuniting after their military service.
The group’s Tokyo schedule features two sold-out concerts at the iconic Tokyo Dome, scheduled for April 17 at 6:30 pm JST and April 18 at 3 pm JST. These shows serve as the second stop on the massive tour, which began with a triumphant three-night run at Goyang Stadium in South Korea.
BTS departs Seoul for concert in Tokyo
Fans gathered outside Gimpo Airport early in the day to catch a glimpse of the band before departure. The members arrived in stylish travel outfits, instantly drawing attention from fans and photographers. While most members travelled together, Suga reportedly departed on a separate flight, though he remains part of the upcoming performances.
Jimin shared a brief update on Weverse during the flight, reassuring fans that the group would return soon.

About the Tokyo Dome shows
The Tokyo Dome concerts are expected to deliver a visually ambitious experience. Reports suggest the stage will feature a 360-degree immersive design, allowing fans across the stadium to view the performance from every angle.
The setlist is expected to include several songs from the group’s latest album ‘ARIRANG’, including Swim, Hooligan, and Body To Body. Fans will also likely hear some of BTS’ biggest global hits, such as Dynamite and Butter. Tickets for both Tokyo shows sold out almost instantly. However, fans who missed out on tickets will still have options to experience the show. The April 18 performance will be broadcast live in cinemas across more than 75 countries, including screenings in major theatre chains worldwide.
BTS ARIRANG World Tour
The ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour is one of the group’s most ambitious projects yet. The tour includes 34 cities and 82 sold-out shows, signalling BTS’ full return to global touring after completing their mandatory military service. Following the Tokyo concerts, the band will travel to North America, with upcoming stadium shows planned in cities including Tampa, El Paso and Las Vegas, beginning April 25.
