Brutality with students! Ragging took the life of a student in Gujarat, teacher forcibly shaved his head in Telangana

Despite all the strictness of the government, the incidents of ragging and harassment of students are not stopping. In Patan, Gujarat, an MBBS student died during ragging. This student was made to stand for three hours by some seniors. On the other hand, in Telangana, a teacher beat up a small-time student and took him to a barber shop and got his hair shaved. After both these incidents came to light, an investigation has been ordered. A complaint has also been given to the police in this regard. In such a situation, the police has also started investigating both the cases at its level.

The student who died in the hostel of GMERS Medical College and Hospital in Dharpur, Patan has been identified as Anil Methania. He was studying first year MBBS from this college. On Saturday night, some senior students of the college tortured him in the name of ragging. He was even forced to stand for three hours. Due to this the student fell and became unconscious. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, where he died during treatment.

Police engaged in investigation of the case

According to the Dean of the college, Dr. Hardik Shah, inquiries have been made regarding the student’s classmates. In this regard, the Anti-Ragging Committee has started action against the accused students. On the other hand, according to Balisana police station, post-mortem of the student’s body has been done. The police is investigating the matter. On the other hand, other students told that 8 seniors together forced the student to stand for 3 hours. Because of this this incident has happened. In this matter, the student’s family has lodged a complaint with the college management and the government.

Second incident happened in Telangana

The second incident has also happened with a medical student in Telangana. Here the teacher took this student to the barber shop and got his head shaved. This case took place on November 12 at the Government Medical College in Khammam district of the state. After the matter came to light, Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has ordered an investigation. According to officials, the teacher did not like the student’s hair style so he committed this crime. It is being told that taking cognizance of the matter, the principal has ordered the removal of the accused medical officer from the hostel.
