Brother established relations, sister pressured for conversion? Now Nida Khan’s whereabouts cannot be found – News Himachali News Himachali

A serious case of forced conversion and sexual harassment has come to light in the Nashik branch of IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The main accused in this case, Nida Khan, is reportedly out of police custody for the last one week and her husband is misleading the police about her location.

Husband’s changing statement and police search

Nida Khan earlier worked in TCS Nashik. He was transferred to Malad and Hiranandani offices in Mumbai two months ago. The transfer came soon after her husband, Moin Naveed Iqbal Khan, got a job as a logistics officer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Mumbra (Thane). When Nida’s name came up in this case of conversion, she was suspended from her job, after which she absconded to avoid arrest.

Police inquiry on Friday

When the police interrogated Nida’s husband, he told that Nida had left home on April 14 and was staying at a relative’s place. When the police reached there, the house was locked and the phones of both Nida and her relatives were switched off. The husband later told the police that Nida’s aunt, Noori Shaikh, had taken her to Nashik earlier this week. Now he says that he has no information about Nida’s whereabouts.

What is the whole matter?

The controversy started when a female employee of TCS Nashik branch made serious allegations against one of her colleagues, Danish Shaikh. According to the woman, Danish had physical relations with her by falsely promising marriage in 2022, even though he was already married to another woman. According to the police report, accused Nida Khan is the sister of Danish Sheikh.

blame on nida

Nida is accused of making derogatory comments on the religion of the complainant (victim) and pressurizing her to change her religion. Nida and another person, Tausif Akhtar, also hid from the victim the fact that Danish was already married.

7 other women also complained

As soon as the police started investigating the case, 7 other women also came forward. These women claim that their senior colleagues harassed them mentally and sexually and the human resources (HR) department of the company ignored their complaints. These incidents reportedly occurred between February 2022 and March 2026. In this case, the police have so far arrested a total of 7 employees including a female HR head and 6 males.

Strict action by TCS: Nida Khan suspended

It is being said about Nida Khan that she is pregnant. He was suspended by TCS on 9 April. The suspension letter is signed by Shekhar Kamble, HR head of Nashik, Pune and Goa branch.

Main points of suspension letter

The company cited the reason for suspension as a “serious matter”, due to which Nida is under judicial/police custody. Nida’s access to TCS network has been stopped with immediate effect and she has been directed to return company properties (laptops etc.). The company has directed him not to discuss the issue with any other employee and maintain strict confidentiality. Failure to do so has warned of disciplinary action.

anticipatory bail attempt

Nida Khan’s family claims that she is pregnant (expecting her first child). On this basis, he has applied for anticipatory bail in a local court in Nashik. Nida’s lawyer, Baba Syed, is hopeful that she will get bail. He told a news channel that there are no serious allegations against Nida. He had only discussed the matter; He has not committed any crime.

TCS official statement and investigation committee

After the matter gained momentum, TCS released its official statement on social media platform ‘X’. The company clarified that Nida Khan is not an HR manager nor was she responsible for recruitment. She was only a ‘process associate’ and had no leadership responsibilities. TCS said it had not received any such initial complaint through its ‘POSH’ (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) or ‘Ethics’ channels.
