Philadelphia: Brazil has registered a spectacular victory against Haiti in the FIFA World Cup. The team defeated Haiti 3–0 thanks to two goals from Matheus Cunha and one goal from Vinicius Junior. All three goals of the match were scored in the first half itself. After this, Brazil, on the basis of its strong defence, maintained this lead till the last whistle. This victory has brought great relief for five-time champion Brazil, which played a draw with Morocco in the first match. The team was playing without its superstar Neymar, who has been out due to injury for more than a month. On the other hand, despite losing to Scotland in the first match, Haiti gave a good challenge to Brazil with their pace. Haiti is playing the World Cup for the first time since 1974.
Rafinha’s injury increases concern
Despite this big victory, the team’s worries have increased. In the 40th minute of the match, Brazilian forward Raphinha had to leave the field due to a leg injury. 29-year-old Raphinha is a winger of FC Barcelona and an important player in coach Carlo Ancelotti’s team. He took part in 13 out of 18 matches of Brazil’s World Cup qualifying round and performed brilliantly by scoring 5 goals out of the team’s 24 goals.
