Bollywood Halloween Special: As Halloween 2024 approaches, the excitement for horror comedies in Bollywood is heating up. Three films from the Maddock Supernatural Universe-Stree, Bhediya and Munjya-are slated for a re-release in theatres across India.

On October 24, 2024, PVR Cinemas announced the schedule for their Halloween Movie Marathon, which will feature these popular films. From October 25 to 27, audiences in cities like Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad can catch these films on the big screen once again.

The Instagram post from PVR Cinemas invited fans to join in the fun, stating, “Get ready for a hauntingly good time as the Halloween Marathon comes to your city! Book your tickets for the epic horror movie marathon.”

Stree: This film, released in 2018, stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree follows the eerie happenings in the town of Chanderi, where residents are haunted by a spirit known as Stree. The movie was well-received, and its sequel, Stree 2, premiered on Independence Day 2024, introducing a new foe-a headless monster named Sarkata.

Bhediya: Released in 2022, this film features Varun Dhawan as a shape-shifting werewolf. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya expands the supernatural universe, adding a thrilling twist to the horror comedy genre.

Munjya: Starring Sharvari and Abhay Verma, Munjya was released earlier this year and quickly gained popularity. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film has resonated well with audiences, adding to the festive Halloween spirit.

In addition to these Bollywood hits, classic Hollywood horror films such as The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, It and It Chapter Two will also be screened during the marathon.

The Maddock Supernatural Universe continues to expand, with future projects including Thamba, focused on vampires, and sequels to Stree and Bhediya.
